The seat and back are suspended by biconical springs, the club chair is entirely covered in full-grain vegetable-tanned sheepskin leather. The soft and plumping cushion is stuffed with 50% feathers and 50% polyester fibers. The solid beech structure and the entire armchair are manufactured in the workshop.

The “Le Paul” club armchair is a small club armchair, its round and rounded back, its thin and slightly rounded armrests give it a harmonious and unimposing shape compared to old armchairs with massive armrests.
The structure is made of solid beech, assembled by tenons and mortises, and is identical to the old club armchair which have proven their quality and durability.
The seat under the cushion is soft and very comfortable, it is designed and manufactured to always be comfortable and last over time, thanks to the basket of biconical steel springs (between 16 and 20 springs). This seat quality is the longest step in the manufacturing of a club chair but it shows the quality and durability of our club chairs.
The filling is depending on your choice and in horsehair or foam, we use exclusively Butltex foam. Bultex foam impresses with its comfort qualities even after intensive use over several years. It is a highly ventilated foam which allows it to be hypoallergenic, anti-bacterial and does not attract dust or mites.
The leather is placed on 2cm thick polyester wadding which provides a soft first touch, and avoids friction between the leather and the foam.
If your club chair is made of sheep’s hair, it will need to be maintained to improve its longevity and restore color.
The armchair must first be dusted with a slightly damp cloth, going well through the seams, piping, corners… let it dry naturally if the leather is slightly damp.
With the wax you received as a gift, spread vigorously using a clean cloth on the leather using figure 8 movements to heat and penetrate the wax into the leather. This will protect it from pencil marks or traces of liquid and will reduce the small scratches and stains it will have received over the years.
If your club chair is made of cowhide, no cream is necessary to nourish the leather. The wax will not penetrate the leather, but you can use a slightly damp cloth, going well through the seams, piping, corners… let it dry naturally if the leather is slightly damp.

All of our club chairs are upholstered with horsehair, a fiber made from coconut husk. Thanks to its twisted fibers, it gives the chair a soft feel and allows it to return to its initial shape naturally when you get up.
This fiber is wrapped in burlap, then with numerous stitches which will give the desired shape to the backrest and the seat as well as the armrests. This will strengthen the most sensitive parts, and give a harmonious shape to the chair.
